Further adding up to the problems, Soni will meet with an accident in the coming episodes which will lead to emotional moments in the show.

According to our source, “Soni will meet with an accident, and for the third time she will have a miscarriage. This tragedy will obviously give way for Bua to taunt Soni, but Jeet (Romit Raj) will always stand by his wife in times of crisis”.

Well, haven’t we seen all this earlier?? Wonder what the viewers have to say to this twist!!

The actor who was last seen in Maa is visiting Jammu and Kashmir to be with his family.

“I’m leaving for my home town by the end of the month. It’s been a year since I have seen my family”, says Vineet.

The actor misses home made food. “My mom makes yummy Kashmiri food and I really miss that. I am just waiting to go back and bounce on those delicacies. I had been cutting on diet but now nothing can stop me,” he says with a smile on his face.

“During Maa I was very regular with my gym activities and was calorie conscious too. My character sketch was of a boxer, so had to do the heavy duty training. Now as the show is over, I want to relax. I will be visiting Vaishnodevi temple too with my family,” he chirps.

When asked what’s cooking for him on television the actor replies, “For now there is nothing. I will only take new projects after coming back from my vacation which of 15 to 20 days. I am waiting to see what Zee TV offers me next. At the same time, I’m pitching on Star Plus and COLORS too, so let’s wait and watch,” he concludes.

Vineet is going all alone as beau Tanushree is busy with her shooting schedule of Betiyaan.

Well the lad is surely in holiday mood for now.

The actor will soon be entering Zee’s Maayka as the third male lead.

According to our source, “Kunal plays a street smart Punjabi guy who has been brought up on the streets. He enters the story line when Mohini, mother of Mahi played by Zarina Wahab leaves home and decides to end her life. She is saved by the guy, and he starts taking care of her”.

“His character in the show is etched on the lines of Akshay Kumar of Namastey London and also Sukhi (Sharman Joshi) in Rang De Basanti”, adds our source.

When we called Kunal, he confirmed his entry in the show and said, “It is a refreshing character, the guy is a mean yet sweet person. He is a typical Punjabi, and I am trying hard to get the accent and the language right”.

Kunal was last seen in Sony’s Meet Mila De Rabba.

The actor has started shooting for the serial, and his entry will be aired tonight.

The actor’s comeback to television will surely make his fans happy!!

Well, the actress who can play any given character with great aplomb is a complete ‘Zero’ when it comes to cooking!

Jayati had a scene in Maayka where she had to prepare Methi ke Laddoo. “Taiji is given the task of making the laddoos made of Methi as it is said that pregnant women need to have this. And I am making these for Mahi (Neha Bamb) who is pregnant in the show”, explains Jayati about the particular scene.

But the problem came when she had to chop almonds, or at least pretend to be chopping them on screen. “The director told me to chop the almonds into fine pieces and I thought this was very easy. As soon as I took the knife in my hands and began to cut, I realized that this was a tough task for me, and I started yelling to give me a sharper knife. But to my embarrassment, one of the unit boys told me ‘Kya madam, chaku toh seedha pakdo’(‘Madam, at least hold your knife straight’). Hearing this, everyone present there burst out laughing”, chirps a very sportive Jayati.

“It was really funny the way I was giving tips of making laddoo in the scene, when the fact was that I do not know ABC of making anything. I had long back seen someone making Halwa and assumed it would be the same. Suddenly Zarina entered and told my director Rahul that I was actually the wrong person to talk to when it comes to cooking. Everybody there started laughing again”, she adds further.

Zarina told everyone about this secret. “Zarina always used to bring food prepared from home and she used to tell me the recipes. I never took interest and one day I had confided in her that I am not at all interested in cooking”, quips Jayati.

All’s well that ends well, as Jayati gave a great shot of preparing laddoos. “The final shot was definitely good as I acted well that I know cooking (smiles). At least now I know how to make laddoos”, chides the actress.

What if Jayati is not a great cook, all that matters in television is that she is great when it comes to acting!!

The actor had an early pack-up on the day as she had to again get back to shoot the same evening. “As we were driving thro’ Yari Road to reach my house which was just five minutes away, a bus stopped before us at the bus stop. My driver, instead of putting a brake went and rammed into the bus at full speed. I was in the back seat, and unfortunately, had not put my seat belts on. My face and entire body hit against the front seat, and I was in real pain. Since I was wearing my spectacles, I suffered a blood clot under my eye. My right hand got sprained and swollen too”, states Damini.

“I resumed my shoot the very next day, but my unit was so co-operative that they wrapped up my schedule early, so that I could go home and rest. I am much better now, by the grace of God”, concludes the actress.

But now, the buzz going around is that Soni is going to die, but there is some twist in the tale. She will die but will return to avenge her foes.

“Yes Soni will be killed in the show, but she will be back. However, nothing has been decided on how she will return, as the creatives are working on it at the moment,” says Kanchi.

Sangamitra Panigrahi, Creative Director of Maayka is elated with the response Kanchi has got. “Our TRP’s have increased after Kanchi’s entry. Now we are focusing on yet another twist wherein Soni will be killed. But Soni will get back to take revenge. However, we have not yet finalized the story line related to her return”, says the Creative.

Talking about her death scene Kanchi explains, “The episode will see henchmen of Cherry chasing me as they want to kill me. I run thro’ the jungles to save myself. I have performed bit of stunt scenes too. But in the end, they shoot me and I die”.

“I have been running for the past three days for the shooting of this special sequence. It was very hectic, but I enjoyed the whole shoot,” she adds further.

When asked as to what’s coming up between her death and returning scene, she quips, “Well that is something to wait and watch. If I reveal the twist it will kill the curiosity. I can just tell you that my death scene will start from today and will be stretched to the next episode.”

Well, must say, quite an interesting twist to raise the TRP’s of the show!!

We had earlier reported that Garima Bhatnagar was recommended by the production house while Akangsha Rawat was short listed for the same role by the channel. However, it now looks like Kanchi Kaul has bagged the meaty role and has begun shooting for the show from today.

We talked to Kanchi Kaul who confirmed this news saying, “Yes, I am the new Soni. I got a call from the unit, and gave my nod as Maayka is a very good show, and the role is fabulous. I had been on a lookout for something like this”.

For the uninitiated, Kanchi had earlier replaced Rucha Gujrathi as the protagonist in Star Plus’ Bhabhi, though for a brief period of time. When asked on replacing a known actress yet again Kanchi quips, “See, this is a part of the process. I think with time, all will accept the change and move on”.

We talked to Sangamitra Panigrahi, Creative Head, Maayka who says, “Kanci is a good actress, who looks good on screen too. She has her own fan following and it feels great to get her into the team of Maayka”.

On the track ahead, Sangamitra says, “Soni was shown to have gone missing. Kanchi will make her entry when Soni decides to end her life. It is then that Jeet (Romit Raj) will save her and get her back to the family”.

Kanchi’s entry is likely to happen on Monday or Tuesday…

Well, it is now to be seen whether Kanchi is accepted as the new Soni by the viewers!!
