Anne Hathaway loves physics, Einstein and possibly aromatherapy

Anne Hathaway, sweet girl, good actress, pretty face – is also an Einstein fan. Did that just give you a jolt of pure shock? We think not, as Anne has already been a pretty face who quotes Oscar Wilde. In a recent interview which sported pictures of Anne looking hot (which is just wrong!) Anne confessed to her love of science too.

“I’m reading a lot about Einstein. I like theories. I want to understand string theory. I’m dying for someone to explain quarks to me!” Anne says, and we have sudden images of science geeks tripping over their pendulums and Bunsen burners to go ‘friendship’ Anne.

“What I like thinking about is how time and space exist in the universe and how we understand it,” Anne reveals. So you’re probably thinking, ‘yeah, so? I asked myself all those questions when I was 15!’ But there’s a difference between us mere questioners and Anne’s passion for discovery.

Says Anne: “any spare time I have I bury my head in a physics textbook.”  Which is really something most people can’t imagine doing post-school.  “What I also think is fascinating is that the elements at the atomic and subatomic level make-up everything. You, me, the buildings, our souls, our minds.”

But then Anne goes all hippy-dippy Hollywood and ruins the whole ‘stunning face of physics’ thing for us.  “Remember I’m living in Los Angeles, so I’m interested in energies and vibes. Look, it’s not a very polished argument but I’m learning.”
